In a major move to improve the pilgrimage experience, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ( TTD) inaugurated a new SRIVANI Darshan Ticket Centre on Tuesday, aimed at streamlining the ticketing process for devotees.

Situated opposite Tirumala’s Annamayya Bhavan, the state-of-the-art centre was inaugurated by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao.

The launch comes in response to long-standing complaints about early morning queues and long wait times for SRIVANI Darshan tickets. Pilgrims often begin lining up as early as 5:00 AM to secure these highly sought-after tickets.

“Devotees have faced long waits since early morning,” said Mr. Naidu during the inauguration. “These new counters, built for Rs. 60 lakh with advanced infrastructure, will make ticketing faster and easier,” he added.

The SRIVANI Trust, a significant initiative by TTD, enables devotees to make contributions toward temple development projects in exchange for special entry darshan. Due to its popularity, the demand often outpaces supply, leading to delays — an issue the new facility aims to solve through a more efficient setup.

Alongside the ticket centre, Mr. Naidu also inaugurated modernised sub-inquiry offices at the High-Level Cottages (HVC) and Annaprasadam Complex (ANC) areas. These upgraded offices are intended to offer better assistance and information services to pilgrims.

Following the inauguration, Mr. Naidu also inspected the new facilities to ensure they align with the needs and expectations of visiting devotees.
