Mumbai: An Akasa Air aircraft parked at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai was involved in a ground incident on Monday after a cargo truck operated by a third-party ground handling agency accidentally made contact with the aircraft.
According to an Akasa Air spokesperson, the aircraft is currently undergoing a thorough inspection to assess any potential damage. The airline has confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection with the incident, as reported by the news agency IANS.

"A third-party ground handler, while operating a cargo truck, came in contact with an Akasa Air aircraft that was parked at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai. The aircraft is currently undergoing a thorough inspection," Akasa Air said in a statement.

Several passengers also complained of poor communication and a lack of assistance from the airline staff, further escalating the situation.
SpiceJet attributed the delays to a last-minute technical issue. In a statement to The Free Press Journal, a spokesperson for the airline said, “While the aircraft was being attended to, the process took longer than anticipated, resulting in the operating crew exceeding their Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL). A new set of crew was arranged, and the flight has since departed and landed safely in Dubai.“
