Mumbai: The Juhu police have arrested Vedika Prakash Shetty, 32, the former personal assistant (PA) of actress Alia Bhatt, on charges of defrauding Bhatt of ₹76,90,892 from her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited, as well as from her personal accounts.
Shetty, who was arrested in Bengaluru and brought to Mumbai on a five-day transit remand, was produced before a city court on Tuesday.
The fraud was reportedly committed over a period of two years, between May 2022 and August 2024.

The matter came to light when Alia's mother, Soni Razdan, who is also a director at Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited, filed a complaint with the Juhu police on January 23.

According to the police, Vedika Prakash Shetty, a resident of NG Cooperative Housing Society Road in Marol, systematically cheated both the company and Alia. As Alia's secretary, she had significant financial responsibilities, which she is accused of misusing.
