Freddy Brazier has issued a cryptic comment on preferring dogs to people following the news he is set to become a dad.The model, 20, is preparing to welcome a baby with his ex-girlfriend and has received public messages of support from dad Jeff Brazier and brother Bobby.

He is believed to bereceiving the full support of his TV presenter dad Jeff, who he recently reconnected with amid their strained relationship. Just days ago, Freddy had candidly opened up on his "tough" struggles with addiction.

He claimed grandma Jackiey Budden, who is mum to the late Jade Goody, got him "hooked on drugs" when he was just 12-years-old. Jeff had stepped in to block their contact after Freddy decided to live with Jackiey.

Now, the baby news is said to have brought the father and son close again and made them fix their bond. A friend said Freddy's news 'blindsided' Jeff but he's doing his best to be there for his youngest son.

Freddy has now spoken out for the first time since the news as he took to Instagram to share a photo of himself surrounded by dogs. He asked: "Do you Prefer dogs or people?"

Freddy answered his own question as he added: "I personally at this moment in time prefer dogs." His brother Bobby left a string of laugh crying emojis under the post as Freddy replied: "People are draining, dogs are healing!"

Bobby publicly responded to his brother: "People that do draining things together are draining i guess? Good news is There’s great people waiting to love and serve the deepest part of you. With that being said those dogs look like they love you very much."

Dad Jeff wrote: "Love this Fred. This was made for you!"

Last week a source explained: "It has been one of the things that has really brought Freddy and his dad back together but it's so devastating that Jade isn't here to see it.

"Jeff was one of the first people Freddy decide to confide in to ask for advice, and he stepped up straight away and wanted to help in any way he could," a source told the Mail on Sunday.

Following Freddy's baby news, Jeff showed no hint of upset as he took to Instagram to share a photo of him beaming as he posed up with a pal. The TV star used the song 'Life Will Be' by Cleo Sol' to accompany the picture which featured affirming lyrics such as "Life will be just you believe in you."

Jeff has raised both sons as a single dad after the death of their mum Jade Goody to cancer in 2009. Bobby was just five at the time while Freddy was four.

Freddy decided to lay bare the extent of what he has been going through after revealing he was going to rehab earlier this year. "I've been smoking since I was 12," he said.

"I've been to rehab, I've been sectioned, I've had manic episodes, I've been in cells. There's been a real journey and it's been a tough one. My nan was definitely the person who not only introduced me to weed but got me hooked," Freddy said.

Addressing his relationship with dad Jeff and why he spent so much time with his nan, Freddy sadly explained: "I feel like if I didn't prioritise the relationship with my mum's mum Jackiey... I was scared that if I wasn't [around her], she'd kill herself.

"And I had that in my head for so long to the point where I pushed my dad away and I was at my nan's for months, go on mad ones..." Jackiey dismissed Freddy's claims, insisting she wasn't to blame for any trouble and claiming the youngster had got in with a 'bad crowd.'

"Freddy was smoking as a kid with his mates long before he and I ever smoked together back out in Essex near Jeff’s home – he got into some bad crowds but it had nothing to do with me," she said.
