Loose Women star Coleen Nolan joked that following one grim skincare routine could have spelled the end of her second marriage.
Coleen revealed how adding snake semen to her regime made the Loose Women presenter worry that her then-husband Ray Fensome would call time on their relationship.
She picked up the peculiar habit while appearing on TV show The Truth About Beauty in 2009. She explained that she was required to try a whole host of different skincare techniques for the show.

Speaking to the Skin, Unfiltered podcast, Coleen was asked about the "silliest thing" she had ever done to her skin.
She had tied the knot with musician Ray Fensome two years previously but she joked it could have been a short-lived union.
Coleen told the podcast: "It isn't the reason why my marriage split up, but it easily could have been, because when he came into bed when I was doing this show...
"I had gloves on with moisturiser, socks on, I had these tapes holding my face up. I had snake semen on my face. I thought, well if he doesn't leave me now, he's never going to leave me."
Coleen and Ray had one child together, Ciara, who was born in 2001. The couple ended up divorcing in 2018.
The Loose Women presenter had been married to EastEnders star Shane Richie. They had two sons, Shane and Jake, before divorcing in 1999.
Coleen has become one of the most recognised faces in morning TV down the years thanks to her time on the Loose Women panel.

Having appeared as a guest during the show in 2000, months later she joined as a permanent panelist where she has remained on and off ever since.
Before finding fame in broadcasting, Coleen's career in the public eye all began when she was part of a girl band with her five sisters. After decades of chart success both in England and Ireland, they are one of the biggest selling girl groups of all time.
