Trent Alexander-Arnold has been hailed by Real Madrid fans after he recorded his first assist for the club in their 1-0 win over Juventus at the Club World Cup on Tuesday. The former Liverpool star delivered an excellent cross that was met by Gonzalo Garcia, with his header beating Michele Di Gregorio in the Juventus goal.
Garcia's effort ultimately proved to be the winner and sent Real Madrid through to the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, where they will face Borussia Dortmund. And Los Blancos supporters were delighted with Alexander-Arnold's impact against Juventus, with a number of fans branding his assist the "first of many".
One wrote: "That assist from Trent was smooth as f***! First of many to come Vamos!" A second added: "TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD ASSIST. WHAT A DELIVERY. FIRST OF MANY".
A third fan also made sure to praise Garcia, who now has three goals in four games at the tournament, writing "Gonzalo Garcia incroyable, what a tournament he’s having. And the first of many Trent assists."
Alexander-Arnold has started every Club World Cup game so far, but will face competition from Dani Carvajal when he returns to action after recovering from the serious knee injury he suffered back in October.

Carvajal was an unused substitute against Juventus and when asked about the prospect of competing with Alexander-Arnold for a place in the side, the Spaniard said: "Trent has adapted phenomenally well, he has got on with everyone fantastically.
"He has been super friendly: when we have had an afternoon off, he has come with everyone to eat, he seems a very, very good lad. He already knew Jude [Bellingham] but it's with everyone.
"And, professionally, it's normal: at every team there are new signings, new players, and I took that as a personal challenge too: I love to compete, I love to have challenges in front of me. I hope that healthy competition can make the team even better.

"As for the position: I don't know. I haven't thought about it, because if the manager asks me to play on the left wing I play in the left wing. It's not something that concerns me, far from it.
"I just want to help. I've played centre-back, left-back, right-back … if it's in goal, I'm available. It's been nine months but I feel good, I'm ready."
