In today’s fast-paced world, fitness has become a top priority for many. However, not everyone can manage time for the gym or follow strict diets. If you’re one of them, here’s some good news — you can still lose weight and stay fit with a few simple exercises at home.
Celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, who has trained stars like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Preity Zinta, recently shared a video on social media demonstrating five easy exercises that require no gym equipment or complicated routines.
Here are the five exercises Yasmin recommends for staying fit at home:
1. All 4s Hover to Plank
Start by getting down on all fours. Lift your knees slightly off the floor, keeping your core engaged. Then, extend your legs one by one to move into a plank position. This exercise works on your core, shoulders, and glutes while engaging your entire body for better strength and stability.
2. Crab Alternate Toe Taps
Sit on the floor with your hands behind you and lift your hips to get into a crab position. Now, alternately touch each toe with the opposite hand. This move improves balance, coordination, and core strength while toning your arms and legs.
3. Crawl Front Kick
Begin in a crawling position and start moving forward. Then, extend one leg straight out in front of you in a kicking motion, switching legs after each step. This exercise boosts energy, strengthens your core, and gives you a mini-HIIT workout at home.
4. Curtsy Lunges
Stand upright and take one leg behind the other diagonally, as if you’re making a polite curtsy. Repeat on the other side. Curtsy lunges are great for toning your thighs and glutes while improving hip flexibility and balance.
5. Superman to Alternate Pike Toe Taps
Lie on your stomach and lift both your arms and legs off the ground, resembling a flying Superman pose. Then, move into a V-shape and reach to touch the toe of the opposite foot. This strengthens your back, hamstrings, and core while enhancing posture and flexibility.
