Alejandro Garnacho confused Manchester United supporters before this morning's pre-season friendly against West Ham United with his actions on social media. The 21-year-old winger continues to be exiled from Ruben Amorim's squad as he explores an exit following a row between the two last term.
Garnacho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Tyrell Malacia have remained at Carrington while their teammates are in the United States for their pre-season tour. Marcus Rashford was also part of the 'bomb squad' before completing a loan switch to Barcelona, who have the option to buy him for £26million next summer.
There is reportedly a belief among United figures that Garnacho could be biding his time in the hope that the club lower their asking price as the summer deadline approaches.
And the Argentina international looks to be searching for a new start in more ways than one, based on his Instagram activity.
Ahead of United's 2-1 victory against West Ham United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, eagle-eyed supporters noticed that Garnacho had changed his name on the social media platform.
He is now named 'Alex Garnacho', indicating that he would like to be referred to as that going forward, rather than Alejandro.

The United No. 17 reportedly wants to remain in the Premier League next season amid ongoing interest from Chelsea.
However, earlier this week, Amorim warned his outcasts and their suitors that they are in for a shock if they think United will accept less than their value later in the window.
"That is not the case because there are different reasons for the players [wanting to leave]," Amorim told reporters in Chicago.
"Some players have to find a new place to have space in the team. Other players show they want a new challenge and a new team.

"We are just allowing these players to think and decide. If they reach a point where they will have to join the team, they will join because they are our players.
"I know for a fact Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox] and the club have a number for these players. If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that.
"I understand other clubs are maybe waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise. I'm ready to receive the players. They have more competition.
"If they want to play in the World Cup, they need to play. I'm happy with that because I'll have more options. If they have to fight each other to play, for me it's perfect."
