Arsenal could be set to head into the 2025/26 with a frightening starting XI. Mikel Arteta's side are expected to splash the cash ahead of next season, with a reshuffle in attack now firmly on the cards.
The Gunners have built an incredibly solid backline over the years and they are now looking to inject further quality to their frontline alongside Bukayo Saka. With the title race set to be wide-open next year, the north London outfit could be on the cusp of building a sensational side that is strong at both ends of the pitch. Express Sport takes a look at how they could lineup next season...
Goalkeeper: David Raya
One of the few irreplaceable stars in Arteta's side. The Spaniard has continued to impress since heading to the Emirates Stadium, and the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea - in a deal worth £5million - should keep him on his toes next season.
Defence: Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, Myles Lewis-Skelly
Although Arsenal look set to keep the faith in their current back four, defensive signings should not be ruled out as Arteta's side look to add depth to their ranks. Negotiations are ongoing with Valencia for Cristhian Mosquera, with the defender keen on the move.
Ben White will also be hoping to enjoy an injury-free campaign to provide cover in fullback, having been limited to just 17 Premier League appearances last season.
Midfield: Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze
Following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey, Zubimendi looks primed to slot into Arsenal's midfield three alongside Rice. The Spain international will be tasked with protecting the Gunners' defence and dictating the tempo from deeper areas.
Arteta may then have a tough call to make with Martin Odegaard, and he could decide to roll the dice and start Eze over his skipper. Arsenal are in talks with Crystal Palace to sign the England international, who would inject a fresh creative spark into Arteta's side.
Attack: Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres, Rogrygo
Wholesale changes are expected in attack, perhaps at the expense of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli. Real Madrid's Rodrygo has been widely cited as Arsenal's top target on the wing, and the Brazilian's future remains uncertain at the Santiago Bernabeu. If signed, the forward could be utilised out on the left, with the option to cover Saka when required too.
Signing a striker is also a priority for the Gunners, though reports suggest that they are closing in on a deal with Sporting for Gyokeres. It is claimed that a 'five-year contract has been agreed' with the Sweden international, who could be the final piece of the puzzle in north London.
