The New York Giants desperately need to continue their winning streak—having begun it only in their last game against the Los Angeles Chargers. To make that happen, they have their key player on deck. NFL Insider Adam Schefter informed cyberspace that Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has no injury designation and is good to go for Thursday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles . He missed two games after partially dislocating his shoulder in the first quarter of the Giants' 9-22 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Is Tyrone Tracy Jr. playing in Week 6 matchup of Thursday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles?
Yes, Tyrone Tracy Jr. will be playing against the Philadelphia Eagles tonight. New York is eager to win after losing four games out of five. Tracy could not have returned at a better time. The running back did have a slow start into the 2025 NFL season, accumulating only 68 yards for 22 rushing attempts, but he’s certain and self-assured he’ll try to put his team in a great position.
Tyrone Tracy Jr.’s pre-game interview about injury, recovery, and confidence
On October 8, SNYtv’s Giants Videos posted a pre-game interview of the New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. on their X.
The reporter asked, “Is there any fear of making it worse or it’s just pain management where once you feel good you can go out there...what’s the process like to get you from where you are now to on the field?”
Tracy said, “They’re saying it’s day-to-day. Understanding that it’s something that doctors are gonna look at, we’re gonna make sure that everybody’s comfortable with the situation. And going out there, make sure that I can execute my job at a high level because that’s really what it is day-to-day. If I can go out there and produce, play the way I wanna play, then I should be out there.”
The reporter asked, “What about your confidence level?”
“If y'all see me out there, that means my confidence is through the roof. I'd never go out there and be less than. I’ll always go out there and try my best to put my team in a great situation. If I can't do that, I don't want to play,” the running back said.
The reporter asked, “What is your confidence level today?”
Tracy shared, “It’s high. It’s high. It’s good. I feel good. But again, it’s just steps we have to do, I mean especially medically making sure that I’m crossing off everything that they’re asking me to do but then making sure that I can perform at a high level.”
