HDFC Bank app down: Thousands of users report problem making UPI payments, accessing mobile banking and other services

HDFC Bank customers are facing difficulty accessing mobile banking and other digital services after the bank’s app experienced a sudden outage. According to website outage tracker Downdetector, complaints about HDFC Bank services spiked around 7:51pm, with thousands of users reporting disruptions.


Several users took to social media to report issues with logging into the mobile app, making UPI payments, and accessing their accounts online. While the bank has not officially disclosed the cause of the outage, Downdetector shows 54% users reports related to online banking. 33% of users reported issues with mobile banking, while 13% said they are unable to check their account balance.

Users took to microblogging platform X to report the incovenience. "Your app is down...It's not even fetching balances and couldn't even login to," wrote one user.

"@HDFC_Bank @HDFCBank_Cares looks like All servers are down..unable to do any transaction..even ATMs are down,UPI down..seriously?," wrote another user.

"Very sad to see that@HDFC_Bank Mobile banking App has totally gone awry in last 20 days. Earlier it was excellent. Now, there are a number of complaints, but no one is looking into it to resolve the virtually "DEAD" app. Hope you all do or you lose your customers #hdfcbank," wrote a third
