A student named Pankhuri Tripathi , who had been unable to attend school for the past four months due to unpaid fees, is now back in class after the intervention of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath .
Pankhuri approached the chief minister during a 'Janta Darbar' - a public grievance redressal forum, where she handed over a letter detailing her situation and seeking assistance. Moved by her appeal, CM Yogi Adityanath instructed that her school fees be waived.
Pankhuri told ANI, "CM Yogi Adityanath accepted my request letter and waived off my school fees... My school has now started... I want to thank the chief minister, my principal, vice principal and all the officials..."
Her father, Rajeev Kumar Tripathi, also praised the chief minister.
"My daughter wasn't able to go to school for 4 months. She went to 'Janta Darbar' and met Yogi Adityanath, after which she was able to go to the top school once again. We thank Yogi Adityanath..." he said.
A similar instance occurred on May 25, when a girl named Vashi approached CM Yogi Adityanath during a ‘Janta Darshan’ in Lucknow, seeking help for school admission. Her request was met with a similar swift action.
“I asked him to enroll me in a school. Today, I got enrolled... I would like to thank him (CM Yogi Adityanath) for this,” Vashi told ANI.
During the interaction, CM Yogi asked her about her school preference and desired class, and promptly directed officials to ensure her enrolment.
The initiatives, part of the chief minister’s regular ‘Janta Darshan’ sessions, highlight the administration’s commitment to ensuring education access for underprivileged children in the state.
