A deadly shooting in New York City left one man dead and four others wounded, including a 17-year-old girl, on Saturday.
The violence erupted around 7:30 pm (local time) near Haffen Park in the Bronx, where a large crowd had gathered to watch a community basketball tournament , New York Post reported.
Chaos broke out as multiple gunshots rang through the packed stands.
According to police, 32-year-old Jaceil Banks was shot in the chest and later succumbed to his injuries. A 29-year-old woman and two men, aged 42 and 30, were also struck by gunfire and are being treated at local hospitals.
Among other injured was 17-year-old Anthonaya Campbell, who was shot in the head while sitting on a bench with friends.
On Sunday morning, the NYPD confirmed that four people were taken into custody and six firearms were recovered.
Investigators are probing the motive, though early reports suggest the shooting may have been gang-related, according to the New York Post.
